SiteMeter Problems

Something is whacky with SiteMeter - tried opening my page and got an error that IE 6 could not open the page. I tried opening a couple other sites using URL's captured in my IE History list (Home on the Range, Eject, Eject, Eject, etc.) and got the same message - "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site: sitename.com Operation Aborted"

I checked over at InstaPundit and saw a post mentioning problems with SiteMeter, removed it from my page and now the page loads OK. If you have SiteMeter, you will want to ditch the code on your page for the time being.

Update - SiteMeter has been fixed.

Tournament

I have the day off - it being one of my 'Flex Fridays' and I have spent the day running errands and getting ready for the softball tournament that starts tomorrow. It is the tourney for our state softball league and is always a lot of fun. Our team didn't do too hot during the season but we always come through in the tournament, coming in 2nd last year.

It has been a busy week here and it is nice to be able to sit down and relax for a little bit. Had a big birthday party for a buddy of mine last weekend that ended with everyone at the hospital with my friend's grandmother in-law who had some heart problems during the party. She is ok now and has a newly installed pacemaker. She is full of beans and is a little pissed now that her family doesn't want her driving to her bridge games across town.

Work has been busy and things are plugging right along. I have started an exercise regimen with Brigid and we have been doing quite a bit of walking and have joined a new gym in town that was offering a good deal. We have been there a few times this week and it has been great so far. It will take me a week or two to get back in the swing of things. I used to hit the gym 5 days a week and really enjoyed it but other things got in the way so it got lower priority. Getting older and having health problems means that I need to be extra vigilant and stay as healthy as possible.

I need to figure out some changes in the line-up for tomorrow's early morning game so I better get that taken care of and then I need to run back in to town to get Dad's birthday cards and gift sent on their merry way back to Missouri!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will let you all know how the games went later this weekend.

Take care
