Ok, I made it more than three weeks so no more woo hoo'ing, although I feel pretty damn good about it.

Getting a little work done today - had too many meetings yesterday to get a couple of critical reports done, so here I am. Listening to Moxie's "MoxVox" podcast in the background while I take care of some of these work chores. It is always interesting and refreshing to hear the voice of a blogger/writer that I have read and have really enjoyed for quite some time.

Saw this today and it made me feel humble and proud and it made my heart swell - Pat Tillman's college roommate graduates from boot camp:

"Pfc. Jeremy Staat, a former defensive lineman who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the St. Louis Rams, graduated from the San Diego Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Friday."

Ok, I need to get some work done - go check out Moxie and her podcast (and those boots) and listen for that "HAH!" laugh that makes me crazy!

Take care and have a good one.

Good weekend - got my old project truck running and took it for a couple of laps around town. Luckily for me, the first stop was a gas station because it was just running on fumes and I am pretty sure that when it stalled at the pump, it had just run out of gas! Apparently, there was a bee hive up under the truck somewhere also and the bees weren't happy that I was out driving thier home around!

Next steps for the truck - new rear slider window, new windshield, new shocks, new exhaust, need to find a replacement tail-gate, replace the windshield wiper motors, get the headlights and speedometer working, and some other minor tasks.

So, tonight are the Oscars! Yeah, whatever. Hollywood is so far out there this year that I haven't seen any of the movies that are up for best picture - I guess I am just not smart enough. The only one I might have gone to see would have been the Johnny Cash movie, but that guy that played Johnny was/is a ding-bat and the fact that he wouldn't wear anything made out of leather kind of turned me off to the whole deal. They had to have special plastic cowboy boots made for the yahoo. I have my own version of Johnny Cash who lives in my imagination and I prefer that.

I hope they all have a really good time.
