Had a few inches of snow here last night and everything is shut down at least for a couple more hours. Snow is so rare out here that when it does come, in even the smallest amounts, everything comes to a standstill. I am going to wait about another hour or so before heading in although I have completed some work tasks already using my remote access capabilities through our Citrix server.

Sage sure does enjoy the snow - had her out earlier and she loves running through the stuff and sliding head-first into the stuff. She is all wet and smelly now, snoring away on her dog bed.

Not much else going on that is worth reporting, so I will sign off and wish you all a good day!

Good morning -
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to spend some time with family and loved ones!

Everything is good out here in Moonbakistan, I have enjoyed the long weekend but it is now time to get a few things done to prepare for the week ahead. I am in the office today to get a new PC configured and put in place and later I head to the other office to finish moving and modifying a web site for one of the program groups I support. I have a few other things to take care of to get ready for the long week ahead and I would rather spend some time today getting ready than just waiting until the morning and getting slammed.

Had another excellent performance review last week - I was worried that my straight-forwardness and my tendency to cut through the B.S. and get to the point regarding some technical and project management issues would get me in a bit of trouble this time around, but I was told by my boss that he really appreciated what I was doing. The majority of folks in state government work their tails off but there are still some that need a kick in the ass every now and then. Citizens of the state have every right to demand more value and better performance for their tax dollar investment so we are trying to apply performance measures and goals that any private business would implement as a natural part of doing business. We are getting there - it is a slow and sometimes painful process but it is working.

I was sent an email the other day by one of the proprietors of Stop the ACLU regarding a link exchange - what a great site! The ACLU is out of control and these folks are all over them like a swarm of hornets - make sure to swing by and take a gander at their site. Good stuff.

Well, the PC is done formatting so I better get to it - have a great Sunday and go Chiefs! They are womping the Patriots at the moment and I am monitoring it on the web and taping it at home.
