Checking in....

Busy week and still learning quite a bit at the new job. I am really enjoying it so far and I am working with a great team which makes all the difference.

Weather has been dicey up here the past few days. Freezing rain yesterday and slick roads made it a little treacherous heading to work yesterday morning at the gun shop, but I made it to and from with no problems.

Taking care of a few administrative things at the other state job this morning and running some tape back-ups. Kind of a nice, quiet morning and when I get back home later, I am going to be taking care of some chores around the house and giving my parents a call to catch them up on everything going on out here. Tomorrow is a day off and I am looking forward to catching a little extra sleep and getting a few more things done around the house and may even rent a movie or two and vegetate for a while. Actually, I probably won't do that as I have to develop a requirements document and a web site migration plan for a couple of projects at the new job. Good stuff though and it is very enjoyable. I am getting to use parts of my brain that really haven't been exercised in a couple of years!

Still working on the second book of the Baroque Cycle, "The Confusion" by Neal Stephenson (thanks again Mom!). I also got a new book in the mail yesterday from my dad - "The Pentagon's New Map" and it looks like it will be a good one too - thanks Dad!

Well, I need to get back to it - have a great day!
